    Tata Steel 2013

Magnus Carlsen scored a crushing triumph at Tata Steel 2013, winning the event with a mammoth score of 10 out of 13.  He thus broke Kasparov's old rating record and became the highest rated player in history.  He started at 2861, scored a tournament performance of 2933, and dominated.   Next Aronian was second with 8.5 ouf of 13 and tied for third and fourth were Karjakin and Anand with 8.   Leko had 7.5, Nakamura had 7, and Harikrishna had 6.5 to round out the top half.  This tournament, formerly known as Wijk aan Zee named after the Dutch town where it is played, has become exceedingly strong.

This course presents all 91 games, though not all are annotated.
