    2012 U.S. Championship

This course will analyze 10 most interesting and educational games from the 2012 US Closed Championship that featured uncompromising matches between 12 highest rated players in the USA. Each game starts with analysis of the Opening played then moves into middlegame and then the endgame, all along dealing with tactics, positional play and even psychology of the players. Knowing most of the players up close and personal, enables the writer of this app better understand the intricacies of each match and convey them to the reader.

Most games at a critical point also have at least 1 question included. For harder questions there will be a “hint” too. It is a fun and easy way to check one’s abilities in finding critical continuations or creative tactical shots in any environment.

Each game starts with a short description of the game and ends with 1 simple and easy to remember “Lesson Learned”

The course also has two bonus games that show us how even Grandmasters are not perfect. One of those games goes over a gross blunder right in the opening while the other deals with tactical rollercoaster that went on for exactly 64 moves (what a coincidence with a chess board squares!).

We hope you enjoy the games and take away some very useful concepts and ideas for your own battles.
