    Defeating the Petroff 201

This course will teach an effective and easy to learn system to combat the Petroff Defense, also known as the Russian Defense.  This defense defined by 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nf6 has a pedigree stretching back many world champions and is known to be tough to beat.

We will go over the anti-Petroff treatment 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nf6 3. d4 in this Course and see how even slight black miscues can yield white a great attacking game.   We will review also a complete game by GM Sergey Movsesian as an excellent example of white's possibilities.  This variation is indeed dangerous and worthy of study!
